Hooch up close and personal.
Gwen:Simply shrugging, she sighed as she looked towards him. "Doesn't matter. What's done is done and it's in the past. I'm just...surprised that you think I would sleep with someone while I'm in a relationship with you and only you." Gwen admitted trying to hide the hurt from her voice. The fact that he didn't trust definitely stung a little bit but it was better that they have this conversation now and get it out of the way instead of doubting each other. Feeling like she needed to do something instead of just sitting there and staring at her half eaten pasta, Gwen got up and filled the kettle, beginning to make the two of them something to drink.
Shane:He had fully trusted her before Trevor even mentioned it to him. However, Shane wasn't upset with his friend, not anymore. Unless he continues to bring it up out of no where. Also, they had already resolved their problem. And now it was time to make things better once again. After Gwen got up to distract herself, he got up after her. Shane walked over to her and stood behind her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and said close to her, "I'm sorry for not trusting you and for being an idiot. Please forgive me?" Shane leaned to kiss a spot below her ear and squeezing her tightly for a hug.
Gwen:"Of course it was before. Don't even think that I would cheat on you." She reassured him even though things were starting to get awkward. "Trying," Gwen sighed out loud feeling her appetite to eat suddenly disappeared. "I never said I was a perfect person or that it was working out. But it only happened twice. The first time probably before you and I had even met, months ago. The second, I don't even know, it just happened but you and I weren't together." She spilled deciding to lay it all out on the table. A part of her wondered if she should even bring up Marie but decided against it.
Shane:Bringing up Marie would have been ugly. Their little lunch would have ended bad and the two would both be angry with each other during work. It was not something Shane would like. It's a good thing she didn't. As she pretty much cleared everything up with him, he felt stupid for even mentioning what had happened before they started dating. "I'm sorry..." His voice was low but loud enough to let the words out. Shane didn't want to look at her, only because he was ashamed of himself. His pride pretty much stinging at the moment. "I just...I don't know. I shouldn't have brought it up in the first place." It was always difficult for Shane to share this sort of thing with anyone. Well he can share anything with his mom, but she wasn't his mom. Shane did care for Gwen though, so having to express his feelings proves it.
Gwen:It took Gwen a short moment to realize what Shane was talking about as she raised a brow at him. She wasn't surprised that Trevor had told him really, whether it was some stupid man thing where they had to gloat about sex or whatever though she was slightly surprised that it'd only slipped out more. "If you're talking about what I think you're talking about it happened before you and I were even together so don't try and slaughter me." She told him seriously, trying to crack a joke and hopefully lighten the tense mood that had suddenly been cast. Though, now maybe it made a little bit of sense why she hadn't seen her room mate in the last day or two even though they lived together.
Shane:And there it was. The answer to what he wanted to know. He was silent at first, only letting it all sink in. "So it happened before huh.." He trailed off and thought for a moment, amd then continued. "Before when you pretty much denied me." Shane was referring to when he would try to have sex with her, but to only be denied. "You push me away only because you were having fun with your roommate, and my friend. And I thought you were trying to 'change' or whatever you call it." He chuckled to himself while he shook his head. Shane tried not to sound harsh but it was harsh enough. Her attempt to lighten his mood didn't work. But he tried not to look upset. The last thing he wanted was an argument with Gwen.
Gwen:Gwen simply nodded unsure of what to say next or what to do next- whether she should have just continued eating or not. Resting her fork on the table beside her bowl, she gazed back on him with concern written on her face. "Well, if you want to talk about it I'm all ears." She responded softly to his next statement. After all, the two of them were already heading in that direction and she hated seeing him seem so...upset? If that was even the right word to describe how his mood appeared to be.
Shane:He really didn't want to be a little bitch right now. He really didn't want to be the guy with the problems. These are some reasons why he wasn't fond of relationships. But he was in one and he might as well get this feelings over with. Shane placed his fork down on the bowl and looked over at Gwen. "So Trevor told me the most interesting thing about you and him. And this wasn't the first time." He started talking with a serious face. Shane wasn't mad. He was pretty much passed that. He just wanted to clear things. However, Shane didn't feel like he should explain more with what he told her. She should know. Well he hoped she knew what he's talking about.
Gwen:Nodding, Gwen began to tuck into her food as she sat across the table from Shane, watching him eat. At first, everything appeared normal as they began to tuck in but after a few bites a frown found it's way onto her face. Not intentionally but it did. And although he hadn't really said anything, she could tell something was up. She could sense it in the way he sat across from her just staring at his pasta instead of eating with his usual appetite.
After swallowing the piece of pasta she had just placed into her mouth, Gwen reached across placing her free hand on top of his. "Hey, is something wrong? Do you not like your meal? I could make you something else if you want?" She asked him trying to hide the slight tinge of worry from her voice. Though, whatever it was that was playing on his mind, she'd no idea. Especially when he seemed completely normal the last time they were together.
Shane:He poked a few more times at the pasta, as if in a small trance, then immediately broke the moment Gwen placed her hand on his. "Huh?" He stared at her for a second before speaking. "No, no. The food is fine. It taste good, baby." He gave her a reassuring smile, definitely letting her know it's not her cooking that's making him act this way. He thought to himself for a bit. Maybe he should just tell her instead of making some excuse. Even though Trevor's words were running through his mind. They were words of doubts and it was definitely affecting his confidence right now. "I uh, I found out something that's really bothering me right now." Shane quickly decided that he should just say it. What harm could it do, right?
Gwen:A smile sprawled across her lips as he commented on the smell while Gwen lead Shane over to the kitchen. "Yeah, well, I certainly hope it tastes as good as it smells." She replied with a soft chuckle and winked at him playfully. "I didn't really have time to do anything too fancy since I have to be back at work in well....a little less than an hour," Gwen told him as she quickly glanced at the clock hanging on the wall and began to work on serving food instead of mucking around too much. "But still, I wanted to spend some time with my man. Hopefully pasta fuels your appetite?" She grinned at him as she grabbed a couple of bowls from the drawers and began to fill them up.
She was too much in a good mood to really notice if anything bad was up but really, just having Shane around was enough to lift her spirits up even more. Once the bowls were full, Gwen grabbed a couple of forks and set their meals on the table feeling satisfied with what she'd done given the time constraints. "Now, don't tell me your not hungry? Let's eat." She smirked looking over at her boyfriend happily.
Shane:He admires it when there is so much effort made into something especially for him. Most of the time it was him who cooked and served her, only because he wanted to, but having Gwen take the time out of her busy schedule to cook was something he deeply appreciated and liked. "I bet it tastes better than it smells." He complimented her once more and added, "There is a lot we can do in less than an hour." There were but with something in the back of his mind he wasn't in the mood. Unless of course Gwen happens to become naughty and wants to then he'll just put it in the back burner til later.
Pasta was always a personal favorite of his, only because he's part Italian so it's in his blood. Once Gwen placed his bowl in front of him, he took his fork and looked over at her. She looked radiantly happy right now and Shane wasn't sure if she should burst that. "Let's eat." He declared with a grin and began to take a few pasta and eat it. He took a few more bites until he just ended up poking on the food and not even knowing it. It was obvious he couldn't let this go.
Gwen:It all seemed like any perfectly normal day for Gwen with nothing out of the ordinary. Or so far anyway. Basically consisting of heading to work to do a bit of decorating for an up and coming wedding she had a bit of free time to return back to the village and make some lunch since the bride and groom wanted to use the hall for their rehearsals which meant that Gwen and the rest of the team had to disappear for at least a good hour or two. Preparing a light lunch back in the empty apartment, she flicked Shane a text asking if he wanted to pop over for a meal since she had enough time off to see him even if it wasn't long. She hadn't really seen Trevor in the last day but that didn't bother her at all. After all, Gwen did like her space.
Hearing a knock at the door, Gwen quickly wiped her hands on a clean dish towel before she made her way to answer it. "Hey babe, you're just in time for the food." She glowed seeing the familiar face of her boyfriend and greeted him with a quick kiss before she let him into the apartment as she usually would since the two of them had become an item.
Shane:Since after knowing what Trevor told him and their argument in which Shane expressed a lot of anger, he had calmed down by now. He really didn't appreciate his own friend calling him a whiney bitch and other stuff that we have totally forgotten at the moment only because we are still waking up. However, the known fact that his girlfriend and his friend had slept together more than once was still in the back of his head. Shane wasn't sure how to go about it though. He thought he'll probably pop it out sometime later or just let it soak in until it just slips. It had been a long time since he had done the relationship thing, so it's all new to him. But when Gwen text him to come over her place, he figured he'd say something about it. The last thing he needed was to keep things in and fuel his anger.
Shane was out for lunch and text back that he was heading there. He hoped that Trevor wasn't around. Only because it would be really awkward having to talk about it while he's in the apartment, and not because he was gonna kick his ass. They had made up after all that crap with beers. It didn't take long til he reached her place and was greeted by her beauty. He smiled and returned her quick kiss before entering. "Wow, something smells great in here." He commented once smelling a delicious aroma.
It’s not like that can ever happen again. I am no movie star after all haha
That’s great! I’m really happy that you are. And that is an experience that I will always remember. For sure i will never do that again, so thank you once more. I am deeply grateful for that.
Haha, I’m glad I could give you a one in a time life experience. Or something like that.
